We are committed to your safety and wellbeing. For continued care, lab tests are a vital diagnostic tool. However, they can also be inconvenient for the patient and expose you to further risk especially during this pandemic as you have to go to another facility for a blood draw. To make it easier to get the labs you need, we are now offering in-office blood lab work. Here’s what you need to know.
Why do I need labs done?
There are many different things that can be measured with blood analysis. Measurements of certain types of cells, proteins, or other markers can give doctors the ability to make an accurate diagnosis. Your doctor may order blood labs because they need confirmation of a suspected diagnosis and to determine a treatment plan.
What conditions can be detected with blood labs?
There are many conditions that we treat that can be detected with blood labs. You may also need routinely scheduled lab work as a part of your course of treatment. Some of the conditions that may require blood labs include:
- Diabetes or blood sugar problems
- Autoimmune disorders, including Rheumatoid arthritis
- Heart health factors
- Kidney and liver function
- Viral and Bacterial infections
- Hormonal Imbalances
- Chronic fatigue and illnesses
Saving you time
Getting a diagnosis and an action plan can be a slow process, especially if you are waiting on labs. Getting your blood drawn as soon as you can after your appointment is important, but not everyone has that kind of flexibility. It can take some patients up to two weeks to schedule a day and time for the blood draw.
By offering lab services in-house, you are able to take care of everything during one single visit to our office. You don’t have to schedule another day, time, and location to get your blood drawn. This minimizes your risk and exposure. Keep in mind, however, that our lab services are cash only. Insurance cannot be billed. They are however, competitively priced.
