It was with interest that I read an article published in the April 2010 Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). The conclusion of the study was “there was a statistically significant correlation between dietary sugars and blood lipid levels among US adults.” More recently than ever before we are constantly being reminded to eat healthier, cut down on processed foods and sugars and eat a cleaner, greener, organic diet. It is heartening to see that there is a greater awareness today about how our diets can directly impact our health and dis-ease.
